Certification Terms and Exam Integrity Policy

Examination rules, purchased attempts and retakes, scoring, and integrity.

  1. [COUNSEL REVIEW] No examination attempt is included in membership dues. The examination is a separate, optional purchase: one attempt per purchase; after a sitting that is not passed, a retake may be bought and started once the published waiting period has passed, and it covers only the section(s) not yet passed. Training is included in dues and is never required for the examination.
  2. [COUNSEL REVIEW] Server-authoritative timing and scoring; integrity events are reviewed by people and never auto-penalize.
  3. The IBCOT certification examination is timed, is not proctored, and is scored automatically.
