Truthful Credential Claims and Badge Usage Policy

How members may describe their membership and certification.

  1. [COUNSEL REVIEW] Say Professional Member, not certified, unless the examination-earned credential is active.
  2. [COUNSEL REVIEW] Training completion is not certification. Badges and seals are visually distinct and must not be altered.
  3. The CODT credential is a private professional certification issued by IBCOT. It is not a sworn, court-appointed or government-appointed translator status, and holders may not describe it as one.
